CALL THE SHIP TO PORT 2024 – FINAL INFOS

Dear visitors of the Amphi opening event CALL THE SHIP TO PORT 2024,

Today we have gathered all the important information for the big voyage so that you can start the Amphi weekend well-informed. Please read everything carefully and forward this information to the current ticket holders, if you have gifted or passed on your tickets to someone.

BOARDING:

Ship:              MS RheinMagie

Location:      Viking Cruises landing bridge below Kennedyufer 11, 50679 Cologne-Deutz

The landing bridge is about 250 meters away from the main entrance of the Tanzbrunnen. Simply walk from Tanzbrunnen towards the “Hohenzollern Bridge” and gain access to the ship via the large ramp on the riverside promenade.

On Friday evening, we will be sharing the Kennedyufer with a running event. Therefore, please follow any instructions from the security personnel to keep the running track clear during boarding!

Return of the MS RheinMagie to Cologne around 00:45 h!

For safety reasons, disembarkation will only take place once the ship is securely moored. On behalf of the nautical crew, we ask for your understanding for any waiting times during disembarkation.

PARKING:

On Friday, 26.07.2024, the RTL parking garage is available for you in the Tanzbrunnen area (€10.00 per entry) or you can park, with a longer walk, under the Zoobrücke (public parking – “P25” – behind the Claudius Therme).

WEEKEND WRISTBAND STATION ON BOARD:

On the ship, as visitors of CALL THE SHIP TO PORT, you will again have the opportunity to exchange your Amphi Festival weekend ticket for a festival wristband from around 19:00 h. The wristband station is, as always, located on the upper deck (1^st floor) aft. Just drop by whenever you like! We will be there for you until around 00:30 h!

CATERING ON BOARD:

The MS RheinMagie offers a wide range of drinks and food – including vegan options like Beyond Burger, wraps, or Chili Sin Carne. On board, you can pay with cash or debit card (“EC-Karte”)!

ENTRY CONTROLS – PROHIBITED & PERMITTED ITEMS:

In the interest of your safety, our security will conduct entry controls.

— PROHIBITED ITEMS —

Weapons, weapon replicas, pepper spray, pocket knives, pyrotechnics, drugs, unconstitutional symbols (badges, patches, etc.), flags/banners, flyers/posters, folding/camping chairs, aerosol sprays, recording devices (e.g., GoPro), selfie sticks, tripods, glass/glass bottles, umbrellas with spikes, food and drinks, spikes/killer studs, animals

— PERMITTED ITEMS —

Cameras (including DSLRs), deodorant rollers, small folding umbrellas

PHOTOGRAPHY:

What would an outing be without beautiful souvenir photos…? Cameras (including digital SLRs with interchangeable lenses) are allowed on board. However, please refrain from bringing pure video cameras, tape recorders, or GoPros. Tripods or selfie sticks must unfortunately be taken by security at the entrance and temporarily stored.

MISSING THE SHIP:

Please remember that we will depart punctually at 20:00 h. We cannot wait for individual late guests. If you arrive late, your ticket will be forfeited without refund. It is not possible to board the ship later!

FORGOTTEN TICKETS / STREET VENDORS:

Please remember to bring your tickets: without a ticket, there is no entry. We also strongly warn against buying tickets from street vendors or individuals on the internet. These tickets could be counterfeit. Visitors with counterfeit tickets will also not be admitted!

PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES / WHEELCHAIR USERS:

There is an area for wheelchair users and persons with walking disabilities. This is located centrally on the upper deck with a good view of the stage. One accompanying person is also allowed to sit here. The ship is equipped with a passenger lift to move from deck to deck. Accessible toilets are available.

SAFETY ON BOARD:

Please follow the instructions of the security personnel on board at all times. Climbing on the ship’s railing is strictly prohibited. Falling poses a life-threatening risk. If you see someone climbing on the railing, please immediately alert the security.
