Henric de la Cour is a Swedish darkwave/electrogoth phenomenon, renowned for his contributions to the scene with acts like Yvonne and Strip Music for over two decades.
Despite his success, a dark secret lay hidden: Henric battles Cystic fibrosis, a disease that usually results in premature death. Filmmaker Jacob Frösen documented Henric’s life for four years, portraying how living with the disease intertwines with the constant presence of death.
The documentary, “Henric de la Cour,” received praise and aired on Swedish and Norwegian TV. Unexpectedly, a shift occurs, transforming Henric’s life completely. “Gimme Daggers” is his most personal album, breaking the eternal darkness and bidding farewell to a world painted in death. Produced by Rikard Lindh, a member of the legendary Yvonne, the album reflects Henric’s most comprehensive solo work to date, hinting at an unforeseen future.
