Wiegand

WIEGAND is a Synthpop/Darkwave band from Pulheim near Cologne and consists of Helge Wiegand (songwriting, production, and vocals) and Jens Domgörgen (live support, social media, and booking). Helge is known as a member of bands like T.O.Y. and as a keyboardist for DIORAMA, while Jens has been a moderator at major festivals in the scene, such as the Amphi Festival, and was previously a keyboardist for X-Divide. WIEGAND’s songs are catchy, melancholic, danceable, and have a high earworm factor.

Among WIEGAND’s releases so far is the album “Released” from 2018, the single “Floating away” from 2018 with remixes by Frozen Plasma, T.O.Y., among others, and the single “Get informed” from 2020. WIEGAND has also contributed their own remixes for Solitary Experiments (“Every now and then”) and Mental Discipline (“Empty”).

On April 28, 2023, the single “Pied pipers” was released, featuring club remixes by Rob Dust, Mental Discipline, and Brigade Enzephalon, as a preview of the long-awaited second Wiegand album “Arrived,” which will be digitally available on all major platforms on May 27, 2023, and for the first time, also as a limited edition DigiPak audio CD.

WIEGAND has performed live in 2022 at the Indarkness Festival in Duisburg and in 2023 as a support act for Rroyce’s anniversary show, as well as at the sold-out “Für die besten Gäste der Welt” festival at Kulttempel. On July 21, 2023, WIEGAND will perform as a support act for Peter Heppner in Dresden, and additional performances are already being planned.
