Since the early 2000s, Combichrist have been known for hard electronic beats and relentless energy. Founded by Andy LaPlegua, the project started out with a mix of EBM, electro-industrial, and hard, club-oriented electronics, quickly developing a sound that became unmistakably their own.
Driving sequences, distorted synthesizers, and massive basslines initially defined their music. Over time, heavy guitars and strong industrial metal influences entered the mix, making the sound even heavier and more direct. Despite this evolution, Combichrist’s electronic roots have remained an essential part of their identity.
On stage, Combichrist show just how naturally these different sides fit together. Electronics, heavy guitars, and massive rhythms meet Andy LaPlegua’s intense presence, resulting in shows that feel charged with energy from the very first moment.
