Active for almost 40 years, Suicide Commando are not only pioneers of the harder electro genre, but also its most important innovators.
Founded in the summer of 1986 by Johan van Roy, the band quickly made a name for itself with a series of self-released tapes. When the first official CD, ‘Critical Stage’, was finally released in 1994, Suicide Commando quickly became one of the most popular and important groups in the scene. On this and all subsequent releases, Van Roy set himself the goal of exploring the dark side of humanity with whipping beats, dark, atmospheric synthesiser sounds and a fascinatingly psychotic and relentlessly aggressive vocal style.
Suicide Commando are and remain genre innovators and are constantly working on further developing their sonic trademark of a synthetically conjured ride through hell.
