Reflecting the bleakness of modern life with their melancholic melodies, driving rhythms, edgy guitars and horror-inspired lyrics and imagery, Canadian cold-wave duo TRAITRS have established themselves as one of the fastest rising stars of today’s goth and post-punk.
Formed in Toronto, Canada in late 2015, singer/guitarist Shawn Tucker and synth player Sean-Patrick Nolan came together through their shared love of new wave, hardcore and punk rock, arthouse horror films and dark electronic music. Even before they played their first live show, TRAITRS released their debut LP Rites and Ritual in April 2016, which, like their other albums, was highly praised by critics.
